Nothing is more disappointing than someone who has been hired by the local police department, was sent to the police academy for training, but only to fail and be sent home. If you think it is a shame to think about the recruits who pay their own way through college, but only to fizzle out. It was probably some of it out the window. The fact is there are recruits who appear at the police academy under-prepared and as a result they failed miserably. You can find DC police training online
Today I will discuss how to be able to prepare and pass the police academy tests. But first and foremost, you have to understand that 80% of college focused on academics and not try to run your brains out as many would lead you to believe. The instructor wants you to know the state laws, traffic laws, and using procedures. The last thing any department would like to have is a rookie officer shot a man without cause.
Academy training puts a lot of emphasis on your training in the right way, and keep you out of hot water. That is why you will spend a lot if time to learn the procedures of criminal law as a rule escaped convict, terry stops, and the policy of Miranda warnings.
So how do you pass the police academy?
The short answer is that you need to prepare academically for the test. The best way to do this is to visit your local library and get a book introduction to law enforcement. You will want to learn some of the technical terms related to police as a basic rule of handcuffs, legal search and seizure, and some important case law on the use of force. Hope that helps.
